Colorado Springs

I'm coming to visit Colorado Springs and my girlfriend Ms.Aubrie Layne is coming with me. We were wondering what are some things to do that more locals go to then tourist places? What areas should we avoid?
This will be a working vacation for us both and we want to enjoy your city. We will be open for eating out if someone wants to show us around. The two of us can't wait till Tuesday night when we come in.
