visiting, hot spots

Hello denver,
This beautiful southern bell is coming to visit next week! FOR THE FIRST TIME!

Any helpful info on good areas in denver to stay in and so fourth?

DTC, Downtown, stay out of Lakewood.

Ft Collins and Colorado Springs seem to be well-traveled also. I think i'll do at least a day in those next time I decide to try Colorado again (along w/ Denver).
