I was to young to know him as clay, but to me as an eight year old he was the coolest badass in the world. His outside fighting style is the greatest of all time.

I don't want to speak ill of the dead, but Casias Clay was a draft dodger when my father was in Vietnam. And Muslums are not pacifists. Nor are boxers, especially in the heavyweight division where a knockout is expected. He was not smart, IQ in the mid 80s, bottom of his class in High school. His trainers fed him lines which he repeated over and over.
If Joe Frasier had not given him a rematch three years after initially pounding him he would be a footnote.
