Just some things on my mind this morning...

If you post an "Ad" saying you are coming to town. Then make the trip. If you are posting an ad to see how many people "bite" before you decide to make the trip... You are "fishing". My thought is that post belongs in discussions, not Ads.

A 12:30 am Tuesday post on the "Weekend Lineup" section does nothing to dispell the impression of someone being a bit "scatterbrained". I hope that one doesn't fall through the cracks....

I really appreciate those that take this board seriously, manage their business well and the mods for their time.

I will sometimes post a threAD looking to see if there is interest before making a trip. But if not enough interest, I will cancel the trip in that post BEFORE that trip was to take place.
I like to have at least one appt pre-set for each day of my trip or at least have inquiries to make it worth it since I have hotel and travel costs. I don't make too many last minute trips, however some ladies may.
In defense of the lady posting in the Weekend line-up on Tuesday at 12:30 am, I have personally not been paying attention and posted there myself. I glance at the forums to see how many ads have been placed or see a catchy title and post without realizing which ad forum I'm in. It may have been an innocent mistake.

I do have to say that Killeen/Waco/BCS has some awesome mods.

As to weekend ads, there are specific dates and hours that one is to post there. Hit the RTM and the mods will take care of any ads misplaced. As Tammie pointed out, that is an easy mistake to make.

As to "fishing" ads, I have no problem with those being in the ads section (or coed discussion either). MOST of the fishing ads are clear, that a lady is CONSIDERING a trip to the area. It is understood that the trip is contingent upon the interest the gents express.

Frankly, I don't expect a lady to tell us that "due to a lack of interest, I have decided not to come to town xxx". If she chooses to do so, it is appreciated, but for me, it is not expected.

If a lady DOES decide to come, and she has already posted her fishing ad that week, she is restricted, to an extent on what she can post, as she cannot post two ads in a week, and is limited in what she can post in a coed thread.

Hoever, I do expect is a lady to let us know she made it safely to town. One may often see a post in coed along the lines of "Got into city xxx and looking for a recommendation for a restaurant"..... I read that as code to let us know she made the trip. That sort of post does not rise to the level of a ThreAD.

MOST of the ladies do a pretty good job with respect to this concern.

Some of the ladies do need to step up their TCB skills with respect to handling their visits to our cities

On the other side of that coin, some of the gents need to step up their commitment skills and carry through, when they tell a lady they will make an appointment if the lady shows.

I hear your frustration, and have shared it in the past. Overall, most of the ladies do a pretty good job in this area. Hopefully those that don't, will see this post and make modifications to their TCB in this area.

Tammie love, your reputation is impeccable and from what I understand you are one of the true gems in this business. I have no issues with anyone trying to determine if travel will be profitable. I just believe it should be done before an AD is posted saying they are coming. A threAD as you put it is perfect for that. As far as the weekend lineup post. The real reference, probable reason and actual concern can be found by reading between the lines of the sentence that follows.

The 12:30 am Tuesday posting in the weekend ads forum, disappeared less than 5 min after I hit the RTM button.....

And yes, Tammie has her TCB down in this respect. She does an excellent job in communicating her intent and actions.

I do believe a post in the co-ed that a lady is coming is the best way to handle things before a visit instead of an ad stating I'm already there. I've seen threads at home in Austin where ladies show up, place an ad and then get offended when they don't get the appts that they expected. And guys will sometimes come back and say that if they had known in advance they could have either saved up or not seen the person they saw or similar.
I feel bad for those ladies.

Tammie is awesome and she says I should join her on a trip to see you all.
