This is the seat John McCain held, and is currently held by Martha McSally.

McSally lost a close bid for a Senate Seat in November, she was appointed by the Governor to fill the seat held by McCain.

Kelly is a former shuttle Astronaut and the husband of Gabby Gifford, who was severely injured by a nut job with a handgun a number of years back. He is a staunch anti-gun advocate, although they do support the 2d Amendment. Their work is toward keeping guns out of the hands of criminals.Aside from that, I am not sure of his other views.

McSally is a former fighter pilot, in fact, the first female to fly in combat missions.

This will be a much contested election. The people of Arizona will have to decide.

At this time, I would give the edge to Kelly, unless President Trump pulls out all of the plugs and campaigns for McSally.

If you can't, then it's admitting that they knew more about the US in the 21st Century in the 1700s than we do. (Of course, that makes perfect sense to many, but we won't get into that).

I believe gun reform is going to be addressed, and my prediction is that reforms will be led by voters in a conservative state like AZ. Like we're seeing with Trump's demagoguery, American conservatives are rejecting stupidity in ever increasing numbers.

The numbers and actual facts are not in favor of the control advocates.

Violent crime is down. Gun sales are WAY WAY up. Citizens with chls or ltcs have lower conviction rates than police.

The notion that the mere presence of a gun some where increases the liklihood of some one dying has been debunked.

There is no such thing as sensible gun laws. I do not think the people of Arizona are going to buy Kelly's brand of government.

Control advocates do not want to have a real conversation. They have hard ons to ban anything that looks like scary looking black rifle although those are used, according to the FBI, a.k.a. real fucking numbers, the LEAST of any weapon in any crime.

I certainly understand the man's drive. He almost lost his wife. However, nothing they are proposing will actually do anything to make anyone more safe. Instead, while giving snowflakes an illusion of safety, the laws will just make it harder for good people to protect themselves.

Most people who carry will never ever draw their weapon outside of a gun range.

A lot of people who carry live relative safe lives and have a lower probability thanot others of ever needing to defend themselves.
