Credit or Cash?

I was wondering what gentlemen thought about paying with credit cards vs. cash. I was thinking about starting to accept CC but was wondering if it will be worth the trouble. From what I understand It can be just as descreet
It's probably not a bad idea if you use a prepaid credit card. Keeps both parties from have to carry large amounts of cash, especially the ladies.

For me, its cash only. But for others, with discreet billing, probably would be a good option. Stay sexy and be safe! dj8
This is a cash business. If a guy won't pay cash, he's in the wrong hobby. My 2 cents...

I thought about accepting CC's but there is really no discretion when it comes to that paper trail.

What happened to a couple ladies I know was awful after they accepted a CC... the guy they seen went right after their visit and cancelled the transaction right in their vehicle... one of the ladies got a call from a significant other threatening her with filing a charge for "Forged Instrument"... because the charge will still be visible on there invoice. As well as who made the charge.

So be careful in your decision... and stay safe.

I have never used a credit card in the hobby, and never plan on it. Cash is hard to trace. Too bad I don't have enough of it.

If you report your income, and the Hobbyist has no issue, I don't see the problem with a paper trail.

Now the cancelling of the transaction....
Only firm way that has kept a transaction from being cancelled on me is by getting a hard copy print of the card, a signature and the disclaimer stating "Customer is satisfied with goods and service" printed upon the receipt.

If you can find an ironclad way for them not to cancel, I don't see a problem.
Good advice on
this thread.

Cash is always best. I have the ability to take cc but even with discrete billing uncle Sam is always looking over your shoulder.
My outlook on the whole cc deal boils down to this, unless a provider is established with a good accountant and has a cover occupation that would warrant the use of such traceable and visible paper trails, don't do it. Again, like what was mentioned above, someone could easily put a stop on the transaction as soon as they are on their way. If you have to venture into plastic methods, go with a prepaid card but many will require personal info such as name, phone number, etc. If you have a complete alternate identity for your online adventures, maybe prepaid would be the best option. I personally stick with cold hard cash. Just be careful ladies and gentlemen.
