NUDIST Resorts - Comments?

I'm contemplating accepting an invitation to visit a nudist resort in Florida.

I've not been to one....and have heard some awesome stories about them....and also some horror stories.

If I decide to go, since I will be new to the "environment", can anyone give advice?

Naturists are a strange sort. Women are generally accepted. But, most places are downright abusive to any guy sporting wood. So, a man may end up carrying something to cover yourself. (Picture Peter Sellers and his guitar in Shot in the Dark) And, forget it if you are a male by yourself. Most won't even let you in.
Some, though, are adult-only and a bit more permissive.
Do your homework. Read their rules before spending the money.

Make sure the guy your going with understands the rules. If he's taking a companion, he may think it's like an outdoor singers party. Most are not.

For reason beyond my understanding , at the one near Austin anyway, nudity isn't supposed to be sexualized. You suppose to act like the smoking hot babe in front of you isn't turning you on and just talk.....

Bushwackers get escorted off the property.
ok...so yeah ...

To be around a bunch of naked people, and your looking for the guy that can carry on a civil conversation with you without getting a woody? Then that might be offensive to the gal.
It's odd, very odd.

One reason I appreciate being a women....is my woody can happen without public notice....and internally I'm saying ...hehehe

That doesn't seem fair I know, but hey...Mother Nature created that tease....not me.

hehehehe

But for real...please do give more advice...I've never been to one of these resorts...and I know there will be veterans that are expecting a certain behavior.

Thanks ;-)

Several friends that have gone and exactly what Billogoods said, read the rules and research the site. Some are an orgy and others you pretend to not notice everyone is naked.
I was at one for a whole day into the night in Indiana. The first hour or 2 was overstimulating I admit, but, the rest of the day (to my surprize) was no big deal. It really gets to be like no big deal at all. There were a several hundred people at this place too, and more nice looking women than I thought there would be. I was happy and it wasn't feeling sexual like I thought I would. Playing sand volleyball, swimming in the pool. Cooking at the grill. Throwing a frisbee around. It felt so natural. I even have so pictures somewhere if I can find them. It was 17 years ago so no iphone's everywhere. Doing that now, the problem is pictures, video and the internet following you back you real world life.
Pics are problematic. Most places have very strict rules about it. Some say no pics. Others say only with permission.

Awbenzik is spot on about becoming accustomed to all the nudity, until some 18 yo hottie comes up and asks you to put some sunscreen on her ass. Then, the jig is up and throbbing.

I knew a gal years ago who said her husband would just find the most unattractive man there. Then, if he started sporting, he would just look at the ugly guy. She said it was very effective.

With my luck, he'd see me look while I was still turgid and think I liked what I saw. Last thing I need is some ugly, nekkid dude following me around, trying to pal up to me.

But, most of these places have websites with tons of info. Also, there are naturist sites where you might find reviews about that specific place.

Research, research, research.
Much more fun is to find a swingers club sponsored weekend at a nudist club. Check some of the swingers websites. Not even these are not full blown orgies all the time. They are just more accepting to people getting it on in a public venue while traditional nudist clubs are very prudish in many ways.

Hop on a plane and head to one of the Desire resorts in Cancun area. Lot of nudist and swingers mixed. Couples only....

If you want to practice being nude around other nude people you can come hang at my place all weekend and we can pretend we are at a nudist colony

Nudism is about the de-sexualization of nudity in many cases. There are few nudist resorts in which sex/masturbation/orgies in public are ok - if any.

It'd be best if you called ahead to get a better understanding of what you're in for.

I'd go with pictures of eyes taped over my nipples.
Live Oak Resort in Washington, TX....Be aware you have to dodge the cows to get there. Located on about 40 acres and has been out there for about 50 yrs. They are ALL Adult and SWINGER friendly. Absolutely beautiful and worth the drive. If you go, plan to spend the weekend...you won't want to put your clothes on to leave. They have a few cabins, water and power hookup for RV's and TENTS. The closest hotels are about 10 miles away in Navasota or Brenham. They have a 5000 sq ft night club, 100,000 gal salt water pool and a hot-tub that would hold about 50 people. They have a restaurant and grills if you want to cook out. They got kicked out of the national nudist organization because they are "all adult and swinger friendly". Also, they have a "party" house set up on the weekends. They SAY no sex in the open...hahaha...sex in the pool, hot-tub, hammocks etc.
Not unusual in the summer to see 100-150 people out there.

ORCHARD TRAILS RESORT in Wills Point (NEAR TERRELL/CANTON)...on 80 acres, opened about 6 years ago and modeled after Live Oak. Pretty much the same details as above. Not much info on the net about it because the "Southern Baptist" closed it down for about 2 years right after it opened. If you have been to Live Oak...you will see that it is almost identical, except newer.

YES there are a couple other nudist resorts out in that area. They are "family friendly". That means they allow children and do NOT allow any adult action. I haven't been to any of those because it's just not my cup of tea. Some people raise their kids in the nudist lifestyle...IF I had kids maybe my attitude would be different, since I'm pretty much a nudist.

There are some awesome swinger friendly resorts on Florida. DESIRE is definitely on my bucket list. Don't forget Hedonism in Jamaica.

And thanks to everyone who has given their comments and suggestions ;-)

I'm actually very excited about this trip, but will make sure I do my research before I go.

It would be interesting if ECCIE scheduled an "event" as one social experiment....at a nude resort? SHOULD WE ?
