Just go to the I R S website.
It can all be done online if you filed taxes this year, if you haven't filed yet or if you're in the non-filer category(no filings in 2018 or 2019). They will post status updates once daily on your account. Early morning or late at night are the best times. During regular hours you may have to wait a bit for the page to load due to high traffic.
You'll need your most recent return handy. If you want direct deposit and they don't have that info already a page will ask for it. You'll need routing and transit # and account #. You can also choose to receive a paper check.



There is no need to use another service. It's either a scam or they are data mining or both.
