I did want to venture out while I was here.
Miami-Dade Police have busted a massage parlor business that officials say was a cover for a house of prostitution.
Investigators have issued arrest warrants and made two arrests following "Operation Fallen Angel", an on-going investigation involving racketeering, money laundering, and prostitution at several Miami-Dade massage parlors.
Miami-Dade Police have issued an arrest warrant for Michael Angelini of Miami Beach. Police say Angelini is the owner and operator of two massage parlors located at 1212 NW 72 Avenue and 7309 West Flagler Street where clients paid for massages that included sexual activities.
Angelini allegedly applied for occupational licenses for these locations using fraudulent information. He would then direct a hand full of trusted girls to teach new girls how to provide their clients with sexual acts and make it look like they were just providing "body scrubs", according to a Miami-Dade Police press release.
Angelini would make approximately $30,000 to $40,000 dollars on any given month from these activities, said police.
Arrest warrants were also issued for several of Angelini's employees. Dereck Greenberg, a manager, remains on the loose. Katherine Area, who worked in advertising and internet, and Michelle Bonilla, a recruiter, are both in custody.
Charges include Racketeering, Money Laundering, Maintaining a House of Prostitution, and Prostitution.
