There are gems and duds in every walk of this business. Acting as if any one is better than the next, is very naive. I've seen women who charge 2k who smoke crack and piss in a parking lot, and I have met street walkers you would never guess did that for a living.

It is labels and semantics to make one feel better about what they do...nothing more. I call myself a VIP Companion, but I am still a hooker where Webster's is concerned. SWs also do dinner dates and overnights, and so called escorts offer half hours...who is to say which one is better?

I have a 2 hour min. but don't let that kid you into thinking it's because "I want to get to know my clients" lol. Nope...seen one too many bullshitters use that line on a website, and 3 months later she is looking like an ass having to offer an hour, because no one would pay her for more than that...pretense, yet again. If your min. was really because you wanted to get to know someone, why did you drop your rates? Ooops.

The word "courtesan" is the most overused word in this business, as well as classy...the modern world is still laughing at both of them too. I especially love to see those courtesans who can't even make the national average and use a free escort site...courtesan indeed. If one is going to use the label, they should at least be able to project the image that backs it up. Very few, actually do.

I also know SWs who can spell and construct a decent point via text whilst using proper grammar, and courtesans who write like they are still in 3rd grade...again, presentation speaks louder than claims.

Is there some kind of agreed upon national average? In terms of an annual amount? I'd be more than mildly curious what it is. Of course, the wage would have to depend on some degree on the lady's location. Also, I assume touring is extremely financially lucrative, or else so many women wouldn't do it. So the amount of touring someone is willing to do would make a difference as well.

I thought I saw somewhere that the average client spends $3000 per year, but I have no idea where I read it, or how accurate that would be.

So true on both counts. I can say from experience that with a sugar daddy, things are a bit different. We don't have sex every time we get together, but he also does not drop an envelope, at all. If we are strictly talking about women who advertise on the net, have a website that offers an hour, two hours, etc. that is not the same thing as a true sugar baby. A true sugar baby, does not advertise on hooker boards unless she is like me, and plays both sides of the fence.

Things are different with a SB and that's a whole different realm with a true SD/SB relationship. That's a whole different concept than the traditional Escort, SW, Courtesan deal.

Yet at the end of the day Escorts, SW, Courtesan, and SB are all selling sex acts.

Streetwalker: Like the name suggest is a girl that walks the street selling sexual favors for money. i.e. $20 for a blow job, $40 intercourse, etc.

Hooker: To me, I've always thought the term was reserved for women that pick up men in bars. I've always admired their abilities to turn a conversation into a business opportunity. I've never been able to do that. I knew a girl who was a high dollar "courtesan" who, for a change of pace, picked up a guy at the bar we were in NYC together with such ease. Hooking at it's finest.

Escort: To me this is someone that "escorts" you to dinner, a movie, the theater, a night on the town and then goes back to your room and has sex.

Call Girl: A girl that you "order up" like pizza. She comes to your room and has sex and leaves.

Provider: While this covers all the women in every category, it can also describe the girls that sit in their "incall" location waiting for their client to show up and have sex with him.

Courtesan: Another name for an escort (in my definition of an escort). Someone you date for money. Form a bond and friendship with in an intimate setting. Share more than your body with.

Travel Companion: This one best describes the majority of my business. A girl you can travel with, take on vacation, have in your room after your meetings when you travel for a conference or business trip, etc. Basically an escort (using my definition) for muli-day encounters.

Another way to look at is the amount of guys the ladies see's per year to classify her into one of those catergories.

I agree with all of this, based solely on actual definitions. I just prefer being called a hooker vs. a slut, because "slut" connotes I am too dumb to get paid for it bwahahaha.

If I had to break down the types of dates I partake in, most would label me as a "Dinner Companion." I am not a call girl, because you're not seeing my number on the net...you won't be "calling" me for anything. I am not a SW, because I don't walk the streets. I am not a courtesan, because of my big mouth lol. Escort, or Dinner Companion would be the most fitting.

Yes, Shorty volume has a lot to do with it, but not always an exact science. In my area if you charge over 350, you're not seeing 10 guys a week. In other areas, at even 600 an hour, you can still see 2 guys a day. Low volume is another one of those terms that so many overuse, when their reviews contradict that. If a woman is getting 10 new reviews a month, she is far from low volume, because less than 10 percent of guys actually write reviews.

I consider less than 5 guys per week, low volume but someone only seeing 2 guys a month, might consider that high. Those seeing 4 guys a DAY, might only think someone seeing 8 guys a day is high volume...very subjective.
