I have a friend who used to teach there, said it was a hellhole.
50 years ago, it was a great school. Great football team. Best athletic facilities in town.
Then again, 50 years ago, AISD was still segregated.
Surely the kids who attend that school today don’t need to be reminded every day about the Confederacy. Especially in a state where the history schoolbooks are subject to revision every couple of years by the religious right.
