It is now legal in Texas....

...to carry an automatic knife aka, a switchblade. Or, at least it will be on September 1. So, you can now carry a concealed handgun and a switchblade....just in case you need to do some silent killin'.

A switchblade isn't any quieter than a regular knife. It's just easier to conceal.

The concealed gun isn't quieter either.

You guys actually never carried a switchblade because it was illegal? WTF are you doing on a hooker board then.

Hey but thanks for the info. Good to know I'll be legal soon.

Guns go bang. Knives do not. Was the point I was trying to make.....anyway....

Setting aside the "Don't bring a knife to a gunfight" mantra....Takes too long to deploy an automatic knife if you're using it to defend yourself. You have to carry them with the safety on or they'll be opening in your pocket. Getting the knife out, turning off the safety and then opening the knife takes a lot longer than just using one of these with the assisted opening function. I can get this knife deployed much more quickly than an auto knife....

as many concealed carry permits as we have floating around in this state, including the one in my wallet, anyone with an IQ above a doorknob would be hard pressed not to think twice about getting blown to hell before a knife came out
