I want Italian, Middle Eastern food
Stay at the Marriott Marquis downtown, while you are there please have the concierge advise you to dfk your clients.

Hundreds of restaurants nearby
Good luck & enjoy your visit although I personally don't find downtown to be hobby friendly.

The Granduca, and the Baldwin, hotels both have in house Italian restaurants
Post Oak Hotel. If you can’t afford that then the Hilton Post Oak. Downtown is not a great place to walk when no events are going on. Also no hobbyist likes driving into downtown for an appointment. There is so much traffic.

I personally don't frequent Downtown for many reasons.

For what you're asking...
I would consider Energy Corridor
CityCentre
Memorial
All areas are in the same proximity and also great shopping areas etc.

Also Certain Southeast areas

PM me if you have any questions.

I worked downtown for a minute or two.

And here's some good food recommendations. I also added a couple of places.
