iwont doesn't give his location with any more specificity than "South", so I don't know if he's an Arkansawyer or not, but my guess would be if he's in AR he's posting in his home forum because he wants to post the report ASAP and doesn't want to wait for the Ohio forum to come back online. A lot of guys are posting encounter reports in either their home forums or in nearby forums (e.g., a guy from Indianapolis has posted several reports in Tennessee). The mods seem to be tolerant of this for now though it's up in the air about what will ultimately be done with these misplaced reports (e.g., the TN mod says he'll move those reports to the proper forums when the proper forums reopen, but other mods in other areas have been less forthcoming).

biomed may pipe in with what the policy about how these kinds of reports will be handled when he gets a chance. For now, you can only take the advice of the TN mod, "Well, just think of this as extra reading material until it gets moved."

There has been no guidance from above on this topic.

Having said that, the precedent from the past was to move the Encounter Report to the proper Forum.

As many of these Forums are not yet available, Staff has to wait for them to reappear.

Eccie does not wish to deny a Hobbyist of PA credit for an Encounter Report due to the Forum not being available during this period of "reconstruction".

Staff will make their best effort to move Reports to the appropriate Forums when those Forums become available.
