The Obama regime war on women and the rules continues. A diplomat for India (a very nice looking diplomat too) was arrested for a non-violent infraction despite having immunity from arrest. She was strip searched and placed in general population at a New York City holding cell. Her alleged crime? She did not pay her domestic servant the federal minimum wage.

India, our ally, is pretty pissed that we would manhandle one of their women much less a lettered diplomat in violation of international law. Indian law makers are suggesting that since Ms. Khobragade ran afoul of US law then maybe India should detain the gay partners of US diplomats in India. I didn't realize that so many diplomats were gay (thank you Obama, may I have another?).

So in Obama's America you can be illegally in this country, kill a family by driving under the influence, and they send you on your way on your own recognizance but fail to pay the mimimum wage....

JD says slavery is ok as long as they are our allies.

So, she doesn't have immunity. She lied on VISA. The maid filed the complaint. The Indian Embassy was informed last SEPTEMBER there was a problem. $3 per hour. Really? India is outraged because only poor people are treated this way in their country.

When it becomes common in the US for unhappy husbands to attempt to burn their wives alive, which happens with nauseating frequency in India, then they'll have the right to point their finger at us.

India is one of the most atrocious countries on the entire planet for a woman to live. In India, just being born female can be a death sentence.

Furthermore, the last time I checked, we outlawed slavery. Her diplomatic immunity is consular only, and does not apply in this case. If she didn't want to do the time, she shouldn't have come to our country and assumed she was above the law and above paying fair wages. That is the norm in her country. She should have stayed home if she wanted to keep slaves.

The point that I'm trying to make is that the federal government will take someone in this country illegally and give them bail after they rape, kill, or assault someone. We put them back out on the street. What this woman did is not nice...kind of deplorable you might say but a body cavity search? Really? Is this how the USA treats people? Is this just another example of the police out of control?

jdbarley corn....
once she is handed over to the marshalls
proper protocol and procedure.was followed....all prisoners are strip searched before entering the jail....her strip search was done by a woman in private....
according to reports she was not arrested until she had dropped her kids off at school....i don;t think she was immediately handcuffed....
it's a stretch to try to place blame on b.o. for this episode....
there aren't a whole lot of illegals who commit major crimes and are bailed out....major crimes' bail is uaually in six figures cash only....
you should probably run your posts thru fact check before posting....of course than you'd be shooting out blank posts....

We did have an illegal kill a family here on the interstate a couple of years ago. It was his seventh conviction.

There was an illegal from England named Rowan who killed an American college professor. He was known to be violent and had been picked up previously but released.
JD bear in mind that these claims of strip searches and body cavity searches are coming from her. We already know she lied on her Visa application, so her credibility is dubious. Being searched and placed in general population is standard procedure.

Do you believe as India does that being wealthy entitles you to special treatment in the justice system?

This case is straightforward. The police received a complaint from the maid. They followed up on the complaint, determined that she broken the law, and arrested her. And, that is exactly how we are supposed to do things in here Amurrica.

the strip/cavity search was standard procedure, nothing anyone else wouldn't be subject to if and when they are arrested. Do I care? Nah. SOF is correct btw.
