Tyson's Corner?

I've had a few short work trips to DC but I have only modestly experimented in the hobby life while in town. The metro area is over 5 million but I keep seeing one area named Tyson's Corner coming up a lot. Can someone please explain why Tyson's Corner seems to be the hobby Mecca of the area?

is metro accessible, parking is easier than DC and Tysons is easy to get to.
