Wash & dry them in a separate mesh bag helps keep them from disappearing quite so often.
It's time to send the munchkins back to training classes for a crash course on hampers and laundry sorting...hmph...

It is imperative that the munchkins be washed and dried everyday, so that's not an option.

All your sock requirements can be fulfilled by a couple dozen identical pairs of cheap gray work socks...and a can of spray paint if you want to get fancy. You can spray paint your feet black and nobody will notice you ain't wearing socks.
