ADS WITH EXPLICIT LANGUAGE - Do they make you "click"?

I always wonder how effective ads with very explicit language are. I see everything from "cum f*ck my s*atch", to "I like take a pounding with your big c*ck". You get the idea.

Don't we all really know what we do here? When I first started, my ads were a lot racier, but now, I try to keep it low and I am really thinking of eliminating it altogether. But, that is just MY personal taste. How about you guys?

What are some of the preconceived notions you get when reading explicit ads? Does price and explicit language have ANY correlation? Do you find yourself clicking on the "dirtiest" ones more often? Does it translate in a booked appointment or is it just soft porn?

What makes you "click"?

Very good question, I will stay tuned...
Let's start with the true statement that the average level of education in the United States is 7th Grade. Sophistication and subtlety, therefore, is lost on the majority of an audience. (Watch as evidence, if you can, any prime-time TV sitcom.) When it comes to BP ads, I assume the lower level of sophistication on the part of providers and clients and am not surprised at the unsubtle ad copy that I see.

I conversely assume a somewhat higher level of sophistication among both the ladies and gents on boards like ECCIE, P411, etc., and really only see the explicit language in ads from newbie ladies who just cut and paste their BP ad copy into their Welcome Wagon posts. When I see explicit language in an ad from an established Verified Provider I can generally verify her "freak" from her reviews. And if I'm looking here for a "freak" and/or more PSE than GFE in a session then, yes, the explicit ad copy could play a part in my buying decision.

However, ladies using explicit language, never seem to make the correlation with the types of gents they draw when doing so. Most only know, it draws more attention.

I've had gents tell me I wasn't "nasty" enough when doing my ads. Said I'd get lots more attention if I were. I used the word slutty a cpl of times and it drew more interest, but not necessarily from the type of gents, I prefer to see. I can be slutty, but privately, otherwise, please be a gentleman until it's time to be otherwise, ya know? I actually did use "slutty" in my sig line a bit, but changed it to "naughty".
"please be a gentleman until it's time to be otherwise,"

Now that, I like. We all know why we are here and I don't need "nasty" language to attract me to a lady. More often than not, it's a turn off for me, I guess because ads with it usually are from ladies that don't do much for me. But I have more than a 7th grade education.

WALDT. (We all like different things)

It's used often enough, but some of the gents don't get, that it also may apply to the ladies. Almost as if we are not entitled to like or enjoy a certain kind of client. We advertise and they believe that gives them an "in". I've had them get angry with me for saying "no". But hey, I can't provide to fellas who have zero respect for me. It tells me, they have no respect for themselves. If it starts out that way, I'm inclined to believe, it can only go downhill from there.

I'm pretty sure you can use the term "fuck" on ECCIE. Guess I'll verify that when I post this reply. It's kind of fun when that nice lady you've been emailing and phone-calling with closes the bedroom door and then demonstrates her command of some robust language. But that's after that door in "BCD" closes. In ads ... it just invokes that grungy backpage ambience.

To answer your closing question (what makes you click?): I can tell you, although it won't be useful in many cases. I like to see a lady's face. It's not nearly as good as talking to her, in terms of getting a feeling for her personality and intelligence, but facial expressions tell you a little more about those things than headless pictures of her breasts, legs, rear end, and so on. I know hearing that doesn't help much, because a lot of you don't use face pictures for good and obvious reasons. But there it is. Sometimes the face is blurred, but the expression still comes through, at least faintly (see Gigi Gypsy's showcase), and that seems like a good way to protect privacy while still giving you some idea of what she looks like, smiling.

Also, I have a great weakness for ladies who know the difference between "discrete" and "discreet." Without going into agonizing detail, a pretty good rule of thumb is: in the demimonde context, you probably mean "discreet," not "discrete."

Camille, I just looked at your showcase (very nice!), and you've made good use of that blurring-the-face strategy. Excellent!
^^ well, thanks, funny as it may, it is still strange for me to type fuck, and cock, etc, if I can just * it and make someone scratch their heads of why a hooker would be such a prude, given my reviews lol...

But I guess we all have several discrete layers of our personalities, right?

I don't think one size fits all. While some clients may want 'freaky, crazy strange' then coarse somewhat vulgar descriptions push the right buttons, I, for one, and interested in mature sensual experiences that feel like I have an established relationship with the provider. I'm one of those odd ones that likes to talk and have cuddling and sometimes never even gets to the actual 'act' itself. I find more subtle ads far more appealing.

To each his own. The provider will tend to draw the clientele that is turned on by their description.

I think the way an escort frames her ad should reflect how she is in an appointment.
If you act like a sperm happy sex fiend, then you can advertise like that.
Though if you only give a full body massage you shouldn't go out of your way to mention how turned on your nether regions get if you do not offer that service.

I try to base my choices on

-- chemistry
-- communication
-- companionship

all of which if the signs are right usually results in

-- copulation.

Advertising, reviews, word of mouth and interaction are all part of my decision making process.

For me, it depends on where the ad is placed. If it is on BP and there is crude language, and I mean crude language, I just assume it is a pimp putting up the ad for his girls.

If the ad is here o some place like P411, then I assume the girl is targeting a certain client base.

The good ads are the ones that can be raunchy and sophisticated at the same time with a nice little double entendre thrown in for good measure to truly target a specific client.

I must admit certain words and how they are used can draw me in. With all things being equal, an ad with an edge to it over a plainly worded ad.

As for what makes me click is an attractive lady who uses creatively sophisticated words to paint a picture of the decadent time I should expect when I'm with her. A lady who comes across as confident is very sexy to me.
Very good insight. It feels like, when creating an ad, there is a huge competition on who can be more discriptive on their ad line. And we, by far, are not like this between us, females. If you see us interacting with each other, we are hardly ever acting raunchy.

I guess maybe should focus less on trying to be/talk like a guy and just enjoy being feminine?
