Basquiat at the Guggenheim
“Basquiat's 'Defacement': The Untold Story” is a momentous and historic exhibition which will be on view for three more days at the Guggenheim. It's centered around what is arguably Jean-Michel Basquiat's most explicitly political piece. Works by Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, and David Wojnarowicz are also included. Unseen art by Michael Stewart, the subject of the exhibition whose untimely death mobilized the Downtown 1980's art scene, will be up as well.
