Starting from scratch

Between shops being shut down, others closing because of pandemic, and changes in ownership and staff, I feel like I’m virtually starting from scratch both here and in Lawrence. The pandemic and KE have changed the landscape of shop overnight. It’s bad enough starting over again in many places, but the pandemic seems to have reduced most menus. I’m also hesitant because most shops use the same linens at least all day. No pussy is worth what happens to people who get the virus (I now have two good friends dead from it). At times I even miss the rotasians.

It appears you who visit shops East of 435 are doing pretty good, but West of 435 and Lawrence are beginning to feel like a disaster. And Olathe is apparently trying to get rid of all shops with phony “compliance inspections.”

I can’t say I blame the girls for limiting the menus - none of us are worth going through the Coronavirus either. Maybe I just didn’t know how good we had it here in the middle of nowhere.

Need to re-establish knowing where good places are. And maybe those of us to the West will just have to drive further. If you know good places, let’s share “resources.”
Damn man, two good friends? Were they older or have other conditions? There are not many people I know who even know people who have HAD it, let alone died from it. I know it's real, and I've been worried about it myself, but yikes. Sorry to hear about your friends, for sure.

I do the same as what Fire started, I have been doing that ever since I wrote about the never changing table linens, and the reused wash clothes.
It’s easy to bring your own cleaning supplies and towels.
You’ll figure it out.
