Hello all! This is for any true crawfish aficionados - Can anyone tell me the difference between crawbugz that are boiled live, and crawfish that are boiled frozen?
Thing is, I'm tired of going to places that supposedly serve crawfish that's been boiled live when I believe they have been boiled frozen. Frozen boiled crawfish, I believe, the tail meat is darker, has a rubber texture and you don't taste the juice as much in the tail or when sucking the head. Also I think the tail sticks out straight while live boiled crawfish the tail is curved.
Am I wrong in my theories? I've done research online but can never get solid answers.
Thanks all
