The founders never intended The House to be a full time job, and certainly not to make its members royalty like they’ve become. 99% of the laws that are passed today would’ve been laughed out of Washington. The government has moved so far from its origins that it’ll likely only revert back to protecting freedoms if bloodshed is involved.
