RIP Walter Becker

I've been a huge Steely Dan fan from the very beginning, so this is such sad news. I've been lucky enough to see them live 3 times, and have tickets for a Donald Fagen show for tonight. A sad day for music fans.

I have always been a fan of Steely Dan as well. Even though their lyrics were often strange and bizarre, their vocals were crisp and their instrumental work was always tight. I loved how they fused jazz and rock and roll into an extremely commercially successful act.
