NYT Report.....Despite 90% Negative Coverage, President Trump's Numbers Go Up

SpeedRacerXXX's Avatar
The article is from May 8, 2018 and seems to be accurate. However, Trump's approval rating in recent months has been freefalling according to FiveThirtyEight. Even the Rasmussen poll, which has historically been the most favorable poll for Republicans, has him at a 44% approval rate. Other pollsters have him in the high 30s.

Hate to burst your bubble but since trump's approval level is at 40%. That's @ 5% lower than when he was elected.
I know you like to ignore data in the polls you use. Right next to that 50% is 48% for one of the 2 fastest growing groups. The other group is at 49%. Both well within the margin of error.
You act like a one time spike in a group that historically supports dems means more than a 10% drop in trump core supporters. Especially since because of the actual demographic break down, the actual numbers of people are similar.

The insight you claim to have about hispanics might mean something if it tracks actual opinion poll numbers. But it doesn't and you made no mention or prediction about the spike.

And yes, if a white guy says "mojado" to a latino, the ear full you'll get will include talk of why trump is trying to shut down immigration to the point any newbies will be "mojado" instead of green carded immigrants

Unlike you, what I am not denying is that 50% of the nation's fastest growing sector of the population supports this President. Originally Posted by gfejunkie

What is the approval rating for the shinning star the Dems have in mind to defeat Trump...
They are going to have a VERY tuff time with VERY LOW unemployment and a booming market...

Anybody know what Putin's approval rating is? How about Hitler's after three years?

It might be 95 percent negative coverage now, considering that

1. President Trump is still President
2. The Mueller probe is going to be a big fizzle
3. President Trump is winning. Originally Posted by Jackie S

As for "polling" ... around the time he announced it was in high teens and on June 1st of 2015 it was about 20% approval. Approval of what? His hair do? We already know about "polls"!

Trump is not taking a pay check to do this job. Keeping it in 2020 is not a "positive" for him, but if that's what he wants to do, then that's good for the country. It may not be good for the Clintons, the Swamp Rats, and the "Entitlement Sucklings," but his efforts are providing them an opportunity to go out and get a real job from which they can gain some self-esteem.

Two fucking years of it and no success at all! It worked on George W. Bush. Why doesn't it work on Trump????

People no longer trust the MSM. They trust their President. That's why.
