I've said all along that the way to bring down healthcare costs is to outlaw insurance, maybe we should put the controversy to bed (and a great many lawyers out of business), by simply outlawing marriage. Like I said 4 years ago on ASPD, this issue is just about "benny" - specifically medical benefits. Strangely, at my company, if you say your gay, you can put your partner on your medical insurance. If you are straight, you have to be lawfully married.
