Hobby Phone Recommendations?

Reading and learning here - going to Walmart to buy a hobby phone and pay with cash. Is there any brand/type anyone would recommend over another? I'd like it to be a phone and have at least text capabilities. Would like it to be easy to buy additional time/service. Anything I'm missing?
