swedens gun laws are pretty strict but pretty reasonable on some areas.
there are some aspect of it I think won't fly too well here.
the writer is apperntly grasping at straws for a so called solution.

This article didn't mention anything about self protection. In fact apparently in Sweden it's unlawful to keep a firearm in your home, which is where it's needed the most. I would agree Sweden's Gun Laws probably wouldn't fly well here to say the least.
