Coptic Christians Beheaded

In the US, a year and a half ago. I don't recall President Obama speaking out against the atrocity or sending Eric Holder, the DOJ or the FBI to investigate.

TRENTON, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — A man accused of fatally shooting two men in a parked car, cutting off their heads and hands and burying them in the woods in New Jersey has been indicted.
Twenty-nine-year-old Yusuf Ibrahim, of Jersey City, faces murder, kidnapping, robbery and desecrating human remains charges in the 16-count indictment handed up Monday by a state grand jury. He remains jailed in Hudson County on bail set at more than $3.5 million.
State authorities have said Ibrahim shot and killed 25-year-old Hanny Tawadros and 27-year-old Amgad Konds after he abducted them in February 2013 and buried them in a shallow grave in Atlantic County. Authorities believe he wanted to make it more difficult to identify the victims and buried their heads and feet separately from their bodies.


Ibrahim was arrested in an apartment in Bayonne three days after the bodies were discovered in Buena Vista Township.
The two victims were Egyptians who were living in Jersey City.

It doesn't say it in the article but when it first happened it was reported Yusuf was a Muslim.

Murders happen every day in this country, but if a white man murders a Black man you can't automatically assume of the white guy is a racist or has to have ties with the Aryan Nation or if a Christian kills a Jew don't automatically assume he is anti-semitic.

How do we know that the crime wasn't just a random act and the victims happen to be Christian- there are more Christians in this country than any other faith- so the simple odds just tell you that the average person who gets killed is more than likely Christian and if the culprit was a muslim- doesn't mean it was a killing by a radical muslim.

On Sunday night, White House press secretary Josh Earnest issued a statement condemning the actions of Islamic State Militants after they released a video of the beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians.

The statement from the White House described the victims as “innocents” and “citizens,” but made no mention of the victims’ faith.

“The United States condemns the despicable and cowardly murder of twenty-one Egyptian citizens in Libya by ISIL-affiliated terrorists,” the statement read, offering condolence to the victims families.

The ISIS video was directly targeted at Christians, citing their faith as the reason for their death.

A caption in the video described the victims as “the people of the cross, followers of the hostile Egyptian church.”

“Safety for you crusaders is something you can only wish for,” one of the militants said in the video, as he stood with a knife in his hand. The video was titled “A Message Signed With Blood to the Nation of the Cross.”

Earnest condemned the actions as a “despicable and cowardly murder” and a “heinous act.”

“ISIL’s barbarity knows no bounds,” he reminded the world. “It is unconstrained by faith, sect, or ethnicity.”

British Prime Minister David Cameron specifically identified the victims as Christians, in a statement condemning the murders.

“I am appalled by the murder of Christians in Libya, a simply barbaric and inhumane act. My thoughts are with the families of those killed and the UK stands united with the Egyptian people during this period of mourning,” he said.

Pope Francis also strongly condemned the murders of the Coptic Christians on Monday.

“Their only words were: ‘Jesus, help me!’ They were killed simply for the fact that they were Christians,” he said. “The blood of our Christian brothers and sisters is a testimony which cries out be heard. It makes no difference whether they be Catholics, Orthodox, Copts or Protestants. They are Christians!”
