TSA agents are not law enforcement, most are unable to become police due to lack of brains or criminal records; They are hired thugs to remind Americans the government is all-powerful. If you believe they are useful let the statistics speak for themselves:

total terrorists apprehended during dick-groping "search": zero
total Americans pissed off to some extent: easily hundreds of thousands

As I've said before in this thread, yes, the checks at airport security are a pain in the ass but I don't mind the delay at all if it means better safety. If the delay REALLY bothers you, pay the money to get Global Entry which puts you is the TSA pre-check line and speeds you through the process.
