Guidelines

I get that there are rules, and that there are consequences when not following them. To me, one of the worst is outing. On the other hand, when you're sitting on info that would avert trouble for the masses, you're damned if you do blah blah....
Maybe some loophole suggestions if you will? To keep the general membership out of harms way, what is permissible?
I don't think I need to mention which recent incident I'm talking about.

ECCIE Image Standards (UPDATED) is one link to guidelines

learn em. learn the edge. I think I'm at that edge right now myself.
or learn the hard way
BTW: being at the edge is fun and risky. But even I know its unwise to stay at that edge all the time.
So hint: I posted this once before but here it is again. PT edge crap got to stop again before out of area hammer falls again. Area mod can protect you only so much. If its his ass or yours, you will take the hit.
There are some creative ways of saying it without saying.

However, if there's signs and even confirmation of your suspicions and you don't mention it...well Karma can be a female dog at times.
PMing ?s is an option too

And guidelines are guidelines... they are not RULES.
Though both are meant to be bent.
Whew.....
Lots o dat goes on here......
Walking the fine line, guess you could fall on either side. Is exchanging info relevant to outing by PM really not a violation? I'm pretty sure that wouldn't end well in some cases and could still result in a ban. And I suppose an alert could go something like "A VP was busted for hooking and another problem was brought to light in the process" but I don't see where it's all that helpful. Unless you resort to exchanging info by PM, a grey area AFAIC

I know where the guidelines are. Interpretation is another thing altogether.

So mods, would posting a totally generic alert offering info by PM truly keep you safe from a ban or points? I'm betting not.

So again, can info be exchanged by PM. I realize you would need to get caught breaking the rule first.

email safer.
But then ether does not get to see ta Wake Up as Wakeup is hunting for my head ta get that 1 year off. Wakeup's view should be looked at. As I knew it was a risk for a greater good in my view. Don't pick on Wakeup, as it may be better for me to get that one year ban. Let the mod and admin jury rule as what happens to me

the one year ban for you, we shall see, you are close and out of state mod involved, hmmm
maybe not so good for you, but you can try to get out of it, like you've done before.

The answer to the issue of outing is straight forward as well as clear, you can RTM a post but your best course of action is to let MODS know as well. Explain the situation and it can be addressed!

The process is NOT fast and for that I personally am sorry!
