OP, have you ever considered that quite a lot of the providers have heard things about you and that they have no intention of seeing you, but they just like pulling your chain. If things actually happened the way that you described, IMO she never had any intention of coming. There was never a cab and she was never just riding around. Take the advice of Catman and stick with what you know.
