Hard core Champagne fan here, but often dabble in a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc....it's a very tropical fruit forward Sauvignon Blanc with enough acidity that it isn't too overwhelming. Many New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs are in this style.
My go-to is Kim Crawfords, which can be purchased at Costco, or even Kroger... also check out Matua's Sauvignon Blanc.
