Hi! I didn't notice this section of the forum at first but I'm Scarlet and I'm new to Eccie! Thanks and looking forward to meeting some of you!!
I'm happy to make your acquaintance Miss Wilde. You bring a bit of class, sophistication, and, culture to that which otherwise has become a crass drunken orgy of ugliness & greed.
As a lady of letters, have you ever read a pre-victorian novel entitled "The Lustful Turk"?
Thank you!! I've not read it but I'd love to check it out! My favorite book is "The Waves" by Virginia Woolf. She was such a genius.
I've never read a V. Woolf book. I'm more of a history book, archaeology, cultural anthropology person. Few works of fiction.
I'm definitely a history buff but Woolf was just such a fantastic, beautiful writer. Her works are almost lyrical prose. Highly recommend.
