I get the point and maybe this is needed, but what on earth is a "Supreme Directive"?

A supreme directive is, now was, given to two or more members, even mods. The directive was that no PMs to each other, no quoting of or even responding on a thread to the other member under the same directive.

Just like the insulting/name calling guideline that has recently been strictly enforced, it is funny that the cyberstalking guideline has also been there since day one of this site as well, yet the Eccie staff are just not getting around to enforce it (maybe), even giving a warning with the sticky thread at the top of this forum to those who were probably encouraged to troll others.

Maybe of the close to half a million members they have here on Eccie, the upper management decided they were tired of seeing just the same few handfuls of posters doing all the posts. Maybe the trolls and bullies will become the lurkers and the lurkers can finally post their own opinion (not the opinion they are told to have by the popular boys) on a hobby related subject and not get bullied for being able to think for themselves.

Quite the contrary. If in fact the mods do enforce the new standard, I know it may seem weird and strange by past Eccie history with the popular boys and the keyboard warriors and hopefully, the trolling of others will be curbed.

I also think that there will be more conversations, more people participating in them, being able to respectfully disagree with another member's opinion if they choose to do so without fear of cyberbullying. The conversation threads will be about hobby related subjects rather than taking digs about a poster who happen to post on topic in a thread.

It also means that a guy can write a review about his actual experience rather than having to embellish or lie for fear of being openly labeled and not have to worry being afraid of retribution from that provider, her pimp or gaggle of WKs for a negative, but honest review.

Essentially, making those that troll and do the baiting posts getting met with staff intervention as apposed to the posters who naturally react from the smear campaign against them getting those points/bans. You know, the way it should have been all along.
