How Often Does HJJ Get Busted?

Hey guys,

So I am relatively new to the hobby but I have been hobbying A LOT over the past year or so.

However, the recent HJJ bust somewhat worries me. My question is: Is this kind of big news that will change the landscape of HJJ or is this a pretty common/once-in-a-while occurrence over there that is just part of the territory?

For those of you that have been at this longer than me, does this typically affect the field of providers?
In my limited time span/view thus far I have had one or two good reviewed providers, not on ECCIE, but on BP say they are not taking new customers currently. I really have never heard of this, especially via voice over the phone. I think it makes everyone a bit more skidish.

Know the boundaries, rules, and keep your head up and eyes open and you should be fine.
I have noticed that areas with a high concentration of spa's rub and tug places tend to get hit more frequent. SW Houston area seems to get a pass though but then again that area has a high Asian/Chinese/Korean population..

but the spa's on 1960 that got raided recently are fairly close to each other, and other tenants will complain.

Might get more discussion here in co-ed.
this raid was targeting a pimp that was not paying income tax, was committing fraud, and possibly "distributing".....

your average rub n tug lady in hjj is not quite that caliber of target.

HJJ are small fruit hanging compared to the bigger players in town that get more traffic and know that pay-outs to LE is necessary to do business in Houston,,,Most of the whores that work in those subsets of the hobby aren't that attractive, don't have good IOP, are truly trafficked, don't have good skills, and are sketchy all around,,,The loss of HJJ is no real loss,,,Most of the Johns that play frequently the right way haven't even heard of those places for good reason. They suck.

They think they can go anywhere and put a spa sign up and make money like they can do in the ethnic sections of town.
