I called on a provider, and during the activities, the cops knocked on the door and hollered Police Dept. Apparently they had undercovers in hotel staff uniforms etc. I know she wasnt a cop, we were just unlucky. Noone saw donations made or any hankypanky going on. We had enough time to get dressed, then she let them in. Not wishing to antagonize the cops I didnt question anything, but it seemed odd to me. Nobody went to the pokey, we were both let loose. Was it reasonable suspicion? Could they have pressed it and had a legal bust?
Did they show an actual badge?
Is seems odd to me that they'd be willing to wait in the hall til someone got dressed to open the door.
They didn't ask for money from you did they? In other words, do you think you were set up to be robbed or do you feel they were really police?
it is my understanding that if either of you rented the room, you can refuse them entry unless they have a warrant or probable cause. I would not have let them in
What kind of questions did they ask?
Did you or the provider answer any questions?
Where did this happen?
Did they question you two together or apart?
I would worry about not having the same story. (I say we met in a bar and that I told you my name was Rose. You say we met on an online dating site and my name is Honeyrose.) (or Inga or Ann or anything else other than what I tell them).
It would be hard to remember to concoct a cover story in the stress of the moment while dressing, hiding money and toys.
Sounds to me like the hotel staff was having fun with you. Legitimate police would have shown you their badges.
It is not illegal to have a rendezvous with anyone at a hotel. Period. The only "illegal" part is when/if money changes hands before or after, and THEN it is only illegal if the cash is for sexual acts.
In this instance, I also would not have let anyone in my room. I would have opened the door buck naked and demanded to see badges and ALSO state-issued ID cards (if I was 100% POSITIVE the person I was with was not LE that is). Every cop has those as well as badges. If they do not or refuse to show them, they are not real police officers and you are being scammed.
I agree with Wicket. Either staff or someone else was just having fun @ ya'lls expense because they knew ya'll were there to ummm play.
I don't think the police would waste their time like that. If they were there during a sting or whatever...you would have made the trip to the pokey.
Sounds to me like there's a lot more to this "story" that isn't being told . . . ijfs.
If it walks like a duck . . . (or "moo's")

Exactly which motel (you know it wasnt a hotel) did this happen?
Seriously-
Carlie
OK my bad, yes they were cops, two were in uniform we were cuffed and questioned, not separately. Their cars and paddy wagon were behind the hotel. KCMO 105 mand Holmes extended stay
The hotel probably wanted her gone and called the popo. Just a guess.
