Is the local hobby scene as bad as this board makes it seem?

I’m not a native, but I’ve been around for close to a decade now. Pittsburgh has never been a great hobby town, as long as I’ve been here, and it seemed to be on the decline.

I, like a lot of guys, have been out of the hobby since Covid hit, but I still look at the board, and HOLY SHIT does it seem bad out there. I understand that these are not normal times, but the board makes it seem like it’s the end of days. Is it really that bad, out there?

I too have been out of the game since covid, but for the past week have been trying to get back in. Based on what's happening on the boards and my preferences, there's only a couple of local providers I'm considering and they don't seem to be returning texts.

So my experience is 'yes, it's that bad.'

Probably going to turn to SA or wait for a traveling lady.

I should amend my reply to say that there are still reliable and professional providers in Pittsburgh. But if you like variety or aren't looking to spend $$$.5, then slims the pickings. Just the reality of living in a small city suffering from an extracurricular epidemic in the middle of a global pandemic.
Probably a bit of both. Things are down and we have some depressed posters.

There are slim pickens in the area unless you want to shell out 3-4 hundred
My cash to pussy ratio is not that high.

Compared to the late 90s and early 2000s
It's a barren wasteland
Short answer......YES!
Civvies are moving onto SA due to the economy. Been having my luck there.

I also have been out of the game since covid. But just looking at local ads, yes it is as bad as people say. There are maybe a couple people to consider but they charge a ridiculous 3 or 4 bills. At those rates, I will just keep my money and use it on a future trip in Florida where I can hobby for half that or less with a big variety of hotter women
A couple of these hoes that I know personally were able to get the Pandemic Unemployment so they haven't had to sell their holes. It's gonna run out next week so unless congress extends it I'm sure we'll be seeing some more whores soon hopefully to gives the old hags that want $300/hour a run for their money.

A sad state of affairs.

We don't even get as many travelling providers as those places seem to get, and quite frankly, I can't think of any reason I'd rather travel to Detroit or Cleveland than Pittsburgh. I'm not trying to compare us to New York, DC or even Philadelphia. I'm comparing us to cities that Pittsburgh compares to favorably by almost every measure.
Do any of you believe that COVID-19 is real or can harm you? If you do, it probably explains a good bit of the recent drop. PUA is probably also a factor for those with the foresight to declare some income.

On the rest? This is what happens when a market for a good or service loses transparency. Fosta is making information scarcer. It has added friction to everyone’s processes. The quality and motivation of market participants drops while prices rise.

I’ve been out of the game since COVID really set in, but am unsurprised at the state of play.
