April Ryan: Trump Considered Nuking Hurricanes Because it Would Mean Nuking Parts of Africa
CNN political commentators April Ryan (l) and Angela Rye on “New Day” – 8/26/19. Screen grab via CNN (h/t Newsbusters).
As Kira Davis wrote earlier today, the reports from supposedly reputable media outlets that President Trump suggested “nuking” hurricanes to keep them from hitting the U.S. are clearly fake news to everyone outside of those who (like most of the liberals in CNN’s newsroom) suffer from Trump Derangement Syndrome.
A perfect example of the latter comes in the form of CNN political commentator and First Amendment defender April Ryan, fresh off of being given a free pass by her media colleagues after she had a credentialed journalist thrown out of one of her speaking engagements because “When I speak, I don’t have news covering my speech.”
Ryan joined other liberal commentators including the supposedly objective (not really) “New Day” hosts Alisyn Camerota and John Berman in a wildly biased segment talking about Trump’s alleged remarks about nuking hurricanes.
Here’s how it went down (bolded emphasis added):
The unanimously anti-Trump panel on Monday’s New Day melted down at President Trump’s alleged far-fetched suggestion to use nuclear weapons to stop hurricanes headed towards the United States. While everyone on the panel laughed off at the idea, CNN political analyst April Ryan took it a step further by declaring that the desire to nuke hurricanes off the coast of Africa is motivated by racial animus.Watch video of the unhinged segment below:
[…]
Ryan addressed the reporting on President Trump’s supposed plan by describing how hurricanes “start forming off the coast of Africa, as they’re moving across the Atlantic, we drop a bomb inside the eye of the hurricane and it disrupts it.”
The CNN carnival barker then proceeded to suggest President Trump had a more sinister motive for wanting to use nuclear weapons off the coast of Africa: “He brought in Africa…As we were talking during break, he’s called Africa a sh**hole nation…And what part of Africa are you talking about? Sub-Saharan Africa, where there are mostly black people?”
Newsbusters and Real Clear Politics have the full transcripts.
This is not unlike what deranged leftists said about Bush before, during, and after Hurricane Katrina, suggesting Bush wanted black people to die, etc.
There is just no rationalizing with people who are this far gone, first believing there was even talk of nuking a hurricane, and second for insinuating it was being discussed because racism. Shame on CNN for not only amplifying this hateful nonsense, but for being active participants in it.
