Canada Incall

I've seen some articles recently concerning changes in Canadian law regarding our favorite sport. What I collect that the various laws surrounding prostitution but not prohibiting it, up North—such as not allowed to run a "bawdy house"—were struck down in a recent ruling.

However I haven't seen any of the Canadian agencies switch their position on outcall-only. Anyone have definite info on if this is has, or is going to, make a change in the no-incall situation? The additional price of a hotel room in Niagara Falls certainly makes a difference for Buffalo cross-border visitors.
The possible complete legalization of prostitution in Ontario is awaiting the outcome of appeal: http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/...519/story.html
Hmm looks like this is going to be a drawn out fight then. Guess it was too good to be a done deal. Oh well we can Keep our fingers crossed.

It's amazing how extreme the opponents are in that article... I wonder if they actually believe their own rhetoric.
The Canadian site TERB has a couple good threads in their Lounge dealing with this topic for the past month. Some very knowledgeable posters have been going over what the legal ramifications are.
Excellent, thank you.
Looks like this could drag out for years, particularly if it goes on to the Supreme Court after the April hearing.

Ah, well...

It’s not like incalls are unheard of in Canada right now. In fact the ladies who offer them seem to have their shit on straighter than the agency girls. Ginger being a prime example. Sure, it would be nice to call an agency to book an incall, but that may be just the lazy way out. As much as most of us are in denial about this topic, I’ve seen too many young Canadian girls go from too much easy money to “A little habit” to unreliable provider to welfare. Call me naïve, but I don’t see that pattern as often among the quality providers in the states. Maybe the grass isn’t all that much greener on the other side of the Peace Bridge.

I think it's pretty ridiculous to imply that there is anything about Canadian-ness per se, that is an influencing factor in towards some very common and unfortunate problems in the sex industry. However, there certainly is a correlation between being young, and being stupid and irresponsible. One of the things that I've noticed so far, browsing indies in the great north, is that they tend to be older than the agency girls—about the same as the indie providers here, not surprisingly.

I think that it's also plausible, that there is some correlation between agency managed girls and said irresponsibilities... if only because there is not a real need to have great TCB skills to do the agency thing, as compared to what an indie needs in terms of self operations management. Which is likely why so many of the agency girls are younger, and indies are older, on both sides of the border.

Finally, I'd venture to postulate that there is a causal link between being irresponsible and being hot. Young, exceptionally attractive women in this culture, often don't develop, or even come into contact with, the notion of actions having consequences. Because if you are a hot young woman then someone is probably going to take care of it for you. While not the case for all, valuable coping mechanisms can fail to develop because they are simply not required, then leading to a hard crash when discovering that recreational chemistry does not give a shit about how pretty you are.

Anyhow, I could ramble for hours about the psychological and social dynamics of feminine youth and pulchritude, but none of that was really the point of this thread. Though I do object to any unfounded slur upon our fair cousines in the frozen north.

My actual point was to discuss legality, and its impact on savings. Now, I realize a lot of guys here might not care much about $50, but when it comes to:

1) option the Eastern
  • $220 an hour
  • $25 in gas and tolls
  • 90 minute drive each way
2) option the North(west)ern
  • $180 an hour
  • $10 in gas
  • 30 minute drive each way
Well... I don't mind being called lazy normally, but to my mind saving ~$50 and 2 hours of driving is more like common sense than laziness. I'm gonna go with the latter. And sing O Canada on my away across the border. In both directions. While drinking Molson.

However, if you add to option 2):
$40+ for a hotel room; and the fact that I don't like hotels to begin with; and booking the hotel; and the fact that I am lazy (call me crazy, I don't like putting a lot of work into my leisure activities... I know the rock climbers, hunters and so forth will disagree ) .... then it starts to look less like a sweet deal and more like six of one, half a dozen of the other. Which, is basically the reason I was asking in the first place.

N.B. I realize that there may be a subjective or qualitative difference, between a high quality Rochester indie and a Canadian agency girl. However after many moons of meditation upon the fact of my bank account and the willingness of any woman, provider or no, to fuck me with regard to it, I have drifted away from the GFE requirement and found myself firmly decided on the following criteria with regard to someone who I am going to pay for pussy:
  • Hot
  • Willing
and as a discriminating factor, the other two being equal,
  • Affordable
I used to hobby more in Canada than in the U.S. The increased border security has been a deterrent - I'm always concerned that I would be charged with the potentially serious offense of lying to a Customs Officer when asked the direct question, "What was the purpose of your trip?" If total legalization happens, I can say I went to see "Ms X", instead of to "the Casino" or "the Sundowner".

You failed to mention the local Buffalo option, but nonetheless, an awesome post!

Legality and its impact on savings – none. Once incalls are legal the cost of the hotel room, if used, transfers to the provider and the cost will be passed on to the client. Indies who “hook at home” will have a competitive edge. Brothels – who needs them? May be good for tourists.

The Buffalo option – less said the better.
jokacz, do you see anything positive about legalizing prostitution in Ontario?
