The Big Race is BACK on! Hot Springs watch out!

Ok I know sports is not the main topic of discussion here but this is HUGE for Oaklawn Park and Hot Springs. The two unbeaten Fillies, Rachel Alexandria and Zenyatta, will meet on April 9 for the $5 mill purse at the Apple Blossom Stakes.

In historical context this the horse racing world has seen anything like this since War Admiral and Seabiscut went at in the 30s for a challenge race. Oaklawn is going to be buzzing with all kinds of national media and busy that weekend with the Arkansas Derby on April 10.

Ok, enough of my excitement, if you couldn't tell .... But ladies keep those dancing shoes on ya'll may be busy down there fo' sure!

Didn't say there was anything wrong with it. Actually, I started a thread on another part of the board promoting a trading forum. So far, it doesn't seem to have had much traction, and there were several who were vociferously against it--which was the basis of my post.

BTW, I'm w/ your daughter. I think Seabiscuit is a great movie...although it's been a long time since I've seen it. And from personal experience...watching a movie your daughter loves snuggled up next to your daughter is also priceless.

Hope someone comes up with the tickets for you!!!!

Zenyatta is still running but hence, no showdown! Ughhh!!! Oh well, you have to give the folks at Oaklawn for trying. It would have been big. Still going to be a nice race weekend though with the Apple Blossom on Friday (with Zenyatta) and the Arkansas Derby the next day.
