the yellow vest thing is very interesting. apparently french citizens are required to have a yellow vest in their car and to wear it when the vehicle breaks down.
since they are wearing it during protests, I think it conveys a message that France is broken!!!

apparently they believe in govt. environmentalism until it hits their pockets. so much for the carbon tax.
this appears to affect the country/rural people who felt ignored by these automobile/gas policies.
French govt. wants to ban ICE/diesel by 2040. apparently this didn't sit well with quite a number of people.
