Escort Appreciation Day

Just wondering if there's ever been an official 'Escort Appreciation Day' discreetly celebrated or practiced within the hobby community. One of the single greatest contributors (not just to the London punter or hobby community) to hobbyists the world over was the now retired but never forgotten Capital Punter, the Michael Jordan of the hobby blog-o-sphere. Seems he tried to get the ball rolling but of course it was a long shot.

For those interested in a good read (and sage advice) covering a broad range of hobby related topics I recommend the blogs that he left as a retrospective.

Here's a few combined excerpts:

Why should one show appreciation?
It is an interesting question to pose, as to why one should show gratitude to someone who, in essence, one is paying for a service. However, my answer to this question is a simple one: I would answer it with another question! A simple “why not”? Why not a lady with whom one has shared a pleasant and intimate time, particularly if on a regular basis?
However, I would extend this further and thank all Escorts. I know some would opine, with good reason, certain Service Providers are not as professional as others. However, I believe in always giving someone the benefit of the doubt first.

Some people have been so kicked about by life, they come over in a different manner from the real person on the inside. If someone shows them consideration, it may be what has been lacking from their interactions prior to this.

I do not say this as part of some noble cause. Merely to say, treat others how you would like to be treated. Then judge them on the reaction, not before.
It is a simple truth we all like to feel valued and appreciated. For gents and ladies alike this is true. Show appreciation and many will reciprocate.

Therefore, as I do not believe the age of chivalry is yet at an end, I believe us gents should show this first. Happy “Escort Appreciation Day” to all to charming ladies out there and thank you for everything!

I show the appreciation when I pay them an exorbitant amount of money for an hour of fucking...if they want anything other than that, they can go jump off a bridge...

Thank you for the link to the blog; there are a wealth of hobby-related blogs from the feminine point of view, so it's nice to see a male perspective that is thoughtful rather than posturing.

You should also weigh quality against grade (low grade can be high quality and vice versa) when determining your requirement and how much you're willing to spend. Seems when one solely associates money with appreciation they can miss the point of a natural good time.

Name the other professions here in the United States that make $250-$400 per hour...then come back here and compare those to a hooker...you'll see where the word exorbitant comes from...

P.S.-There's nothing "natural" about paying for a good time...

Hookers get appreciated just as much as the guys who wash my car...with a paycheck...that's it...

I'm sure there's no shortage of professions by way of comparison. However, I think you fail to recognize the totality of the comparative professions. For example, what are the full salary, wages, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k) of those in Corporate professions vs Escorts? What are the career ladders and opportunities of those in Corporate professions vs Escorts. The longer you work in Corporate America (for the most part) the more you earn via wage increases, bonuses, stock options, 401k growth etc. In the escort business it seems to me your earning potential declines as you age and newer younger escorts are ushered into the pipeline 'so to speak'. So I wouldn't call it exorbitant at all, and if it is then it's relative to your personal pocket book.

As for paying for a good time. Have you never been on vacation, to the movies, or shopping? If you think I'm taking the argument out of context I'll concede the point and simply say that if you're in a steady relationship you're definitely paying not only for a good time but for bad times as well. ;-)

If you think that the sum total of benefits for someone working a corporate job at $30 an hour works out to be anywhere near $250-$400 per hour, I have a bridge to sell you...

Fact is, whores are overpaid for the services rendered and the qualifications required to render those services...not based on anyones pocket book, but based on comparative analysis of the job market. It's only that way because most guys are fucking morons.

Go ahead and tip them, celebrate them, appreciate them all you want. I'll be real, and treat them just like any other overpaid job holder in this country..."you get a paycheck, so shut up and suck my dick". The literally or figuratively part is the only thing that differs...

Personally I don't see people with extremely low rates or consistent bad reviews. Why? Because escorting is a serious responsibility and I'm not only paying for their companionship but their also professionalism and for me at $30/hr I might as well hire a street walker, which will NEVER happen. Conversely, if you earn $30/hr other folks in your profession that earn more can treat you like shit based on your pay. It cuts both ways so it's always best to treat people with respect doesn't matter the profession.

Side note: I personally wouldn't want to be getting a BBBJ from a $30 hooker while telling her to "shut up and suck my dick". That's risky business, just saying :-)

Way out of proportion...and only made that way because most men are fucking idiots. I choose to pay them their established rate...but I value them as the prole they are, nothing more...

P.S.-The only difference between a $30 whore giving a BJ on the street and the hooker you find advertising here is geography...they're all the same...so where's your appreciation for them?
