Officially made the move… small town girl, big city :)

Sooo I officially made the move from Nebraska to HTX.. and overall I love it here.
But this heat… my gosh absolutely 0/5 stars.. the food on the other hand is amazing. And the people? Southern hospitality is real! I love it 🥰 ..

I do miss my nature spots back home though.. the tall hills that let you look over the city.. or the many many gardens and parks with beautiful plants & flowers..

Are there any places here with beautiful scenery? Or is it just all city?

Welcome!

You'd have to travel to hill country tx to enjoy some nice views that involves tall hills and nature.

We do have some decent walking trails but it sure is too hot for all that.

And yes the food is very diverse here in this city.

You have to look for them, but they are here.

Some are small, but able to provide a bit of a quiet escape. Others are larger. None of these are very far away. Mostly all inside Houston city limits.

Welcome and good luck in finding any place these days to get a break from the heat.
