I have a question about phone numbers...

Having been on here forever, I should probably know this but my searches haven't turned up anything...how does one perform a search with a phone number? Search a phone number? I have tried spaces, dashes, asterisks, no spaces and even tried to find "HOW" to search for numbers.

I know that SOMEONE here knows how to do this! Thank you in advance!

V, the best bet is to use the last 4 digits (numerical type ). You'll get a lot of extra hits, but what you are looking for may be in the mix.

Here or on the internet in general? If on the internet, just go to google and type in the number. My best results seem to be 123-456-7890 format but get good results without dashes as well. Google seems smart enough to know you might be intersted in no dash results as well.

The search engine for the site is very crude. You may have to try different layout of the numbers.

123-456-7890
1234567890

I also get very spotty results.

Hint: Remember if you search the dallas forum, you also get all the sub forums as well.

If you find this site's search capabilities limited, you might try site-searching at Google.

In the search box, type "site:eccie.net 123-456-7890".
