Another Outrage No One Will Care About

This pisses me off. The Obama Administration is using taxpayer money (or our grandchildren and great-grandchildren's tax money) to fund an experimental "green" community designed to promote the sale of Chevrolet Volts, the biggest automobile design disaster in history.

Does this administration have no shame? Why would anyone vote for these clowns?

And if Romney wins and all of a sudden the government is funding projects the benefit the Koch brother and no one else, what then

Can't address the issue, can you, Louie. Step aside, and let some grown ups post on topic.
Romney, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, Carter, etc. Same shit, different name. What's more pathetic are the people that defend these clowns. They're having a fucking baseball bat rammed up their ass and they're happy if their preferred party does it, while complaining if their non-preferred party does it.
As long as it isn't my ox that is getting gored.
I pay for my secretary to drive a company car. It happens to be a Chevy Volt.
She absolutely loves it and the gas card hates it.
Doesn't seem so disastrous to me.

Why do you feel that way COG?
I thought the biggest disaster was the Edsel ... You remember those don't ya COG?
What about the pinto or god forbid the YUGO?
I think your stretching a bit, COG.

I think the Volt surpasses them all. And btw, my uncle had an Edsel, and it was the best car he ever had.

I know people that have Volts and swear by them. Actually I know one person that has one and swears by it. I'm thinking about buying my ole lady one. They are way to small for my taste but they are quite and I like to hear my own farts...

Are we the taxpayers still paying for people to buy these cars via a huge tax break?
Why should the taxpayer subsidize one vehicle over another? Is that not having the government determine the outcome?

Before I gave up my company vehicle due to my failing vision, I drove a truck; crank windows, no carpet, just a plain truck and I LOVED it. you know hwy? I did not have to pay for it!
You think I was going to bitch about having a company vehicle?
Nobody cares about it because it's not an outrage....except to a few misguided types who spend their days trolling the internet looking for new "outrages" to post about on Eccie.

So it's ok to us tax money to promote sales of one American car over other American cars, is that your position, Timmy? Especially when that one American car is falling way behind its forecast in sales, and is hurting the American ownership position in the company.

Less dependency of foreign oil is fantastic.
If you incentivize a new and untrusted technology , more consumers are likely to participate. If mitt can receive 77k tax break for a horse, I don't think it's unreasonable to reward green tech adopters a couple of grand to beta test.
