Lake Charles

Any gamblers out there? I am looking for some fun and food here. Which casino has the best of both gambling and restaurants?
Both have good restaurants and they are close to each other, can even walk between the two. I play table games and prefer Lauberge.
Both??? Whom are both? Names please.

How long will you be here in LC?

There is also the Horseshoe, but apparently it isn't significant enough to mention, lol.

DBUC, it was just a quick one day visit, but I am a Lafayette local so I will definitely be back soon and try some of these suggestions.

I haven't been to the Horseshoe yet. I know they opened before everything was ready because the gaming commission's deadline was close. It's a Caesar's property, so somebody should know what they're doing.

I stopped in and it was kind of a ghost town.

A little under 4 years ago Lake Charles took the worst storm beating by any place in a long time (I'm aware of Katrina. That flood was bad engineering more than bad weather.). That said, L'Auberge and the Nugget are thriving.
