Tom Brady is idiot father of the year.

Tom Brady is taking heat over his decision to jump off a cliff with his 6-year-old daughter in Costa Rica over the weekend.

The New England Patriots quarterback — who posted video of the moment to his Instagram page — can be heard asking Vivian, his daughter with model wife Gisele Bundchen, whether she’s ready to take the leap off the small ledge into a waterfall pool below.

The child nods yes, and Brady then counts to three before jumping. But Vivian appears hesitant right before the leap, while Brady holds on tightly to her hand and takes her with him.

The pair lands safely in the water as a woman still on the cliff puts her hands over her mouth and says, “My god!”

Brady wrote next to the photo, “If Vivi is going to be an Olympic champion one day, it probably won’t be in synchronized diving. Daddy always gives her a 10 though!”

But some online commentators were less than impressed.

“Not your best play calling here,” one person wrote.

Another put it more simply, writing, “Idiot!!!!!!”

Even some of Brady’s celeb fans were a little hesitant.

“You KNOW I have complete faith in you as a man, friend, player and father – but this just gave me anxiety. Geeezus,’’ wrote muscleman actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Surfer Kelly Slater added, “That shoulder ok?” while posting a nervous emoji

I just watched the video.. very dumb. his daughter did hesitate, her arm could have been broken, shoulder dislocated.. or worse, her legs could have slammed against the rocky cliff, and she could be in a wheelchair the rest of her life.

if Brady likes little thrills, he should join his Boss and make the Jack Shack rounds.

What a wanker! The only thing Brady is good at is cheating in football.

Or he could have let go and then she slipped and actually have gotten hurt.

The Internet has created a "monkey see monkey do" society, just look at all of those bucket challenges or inhaling cinnamon powder type things making the rounds and this one could easily turn into an "if Brady can do it from 15 feet, I can do it from 30' with my toddler and then 50' with my newborn baby and then 75' with all my quintuplets and then 300' with my mother in law going first ...
