could we have anyone more opposed to following the Constitution other than Trump himself trying to ascend to the third highest position in our government? it's no secret what Jordan was doing on Jan. 6th. he was talking to Trump about how the Insurrection was unfolding. pretty well, by all accounts..

i wonder if this latest affront to democracy and the rule of law-a seditionist seeking the 3rd highest office in the land-will wake Merrick Garland up out of his stupor and force him to open up a criminal prosecution of Jordan and his co-conspirators in Congress. i say probably no, but who knows, miracles can happen, right..

Jim Jordan would be 10X better than "go along get along" swamp creature McCarthy. We need someone who wants to cut spending, impeach Biden for corruption, close the border (ask the mayor NYC LOL!!!), and stop all the billions flowing to the Ukraine - a war that Americans are not behind and is driving inflationary pressure.

Trump was indicted, and is presumed innocent until and unless he is found guilty beyond reasonable doubt before a jury or judge, at his election. he will have his day in court to prove his innocence of the charges.

this is federal law enforcement 101. weaponization of federal agencies? how so? i don't see it.

is the Menendez criminal investigation for bribery also weaponization of a federal agency? or is it only weaponization if the subject individual happens to be a Republican?

if Trump would simply stop doing illegal shit, he would stop getting new indictments. he's his own worst enemy.

Jim Jordan! of course, since the Jan. 6 insurrection was a conspiracy between Jordan and Trump, among several others in Congress and out. gee what a surprise..

if the mainstream media doesn't call this out for what it is, then they're clowns and fools of the first order.

Cheney nailed why Jordan would be such a heinous and awful choice for Speaker.

Liz that was a RINO addition to the make believe unselect committee headed by the former ABC television producer?

px: check. check. check.
me saying anything nice about a Cheney is a damn miracle.

px: she voted with Trump 92.9% of the time. hardly a RINO. more like a Republican faithful to the Constitution.
the Federalist Society-which btw recommended almost all of Trump's judges-isn't a bunch of fire-breathing anarchists looking to blow everything up. they are principled Republicans, and although i disagree with them on policy, i still respect them and their point of view. i read the actual Federalist Papers in a Great Books high school and agree with principled Republicans that fidelity to the Constitution is paramount, especially for anyone serving in government.

she chose fidelity to the Constitution over keeping her job. she could have said nothing and right now she'd be a contender for the vacant Speakership. that was a huge sacrifice for the Common Good.
Pence also made fidelity to the Constitution his highest priority, and it almost cost him his life.
principled Republicans are indeed a thing, I just wish that there were more of them in the Republican Caucus.

Jim Jordan is another one of Trump's bitches. He needs to hope and pray that the Ohio State bullshit he's involved in doesn't come back up.

Merrick Garland needs to indict Jim Jordan already for sedition and treason for his Jan 6th involvement before he becomes our next House Speaker, the third highest office in the land, after the President and Vice President.

the Republicans in the House don't appear to be proving to anyone that they can actually govern after winning the gavel (i.e., the House). best case scenario i can imagine is a power-sharing of moderates from both parties so that Reps can get back to sausage making and finally writing a dang budget, which is, you know, their job and whatnot. who knew..

McCarthy sold himself out by making too many concessions to the far right just so he could get the gavel.

say what you want about the politics of Nancy Pelosi, but when she was in charge, no way in heck the House would be such a mess. she ran a tight ship and governed her side of the aisle with an iron fist.

Republicans need someone with that kind of skill/talent as their Speaker if they want to get anything done. now it just looks like an exercise in cat-herding trying to reach any kind of consensus on the Republican side.

Jordan will get exactly 0 Dem votes for his part in Trump's anti-Constitutional schemes to overturn the will of the people in the 2020 election, so he can lose only 4 votes from the Republican side. i don't see that happening.
