dallass,

in what part of dallas are you staying [to help steer you to places that wont take forever to get to]? do you have a car? are you close to a DART station? [see http://dart.org for maps]

are you looking for free places? if not, what's the upper end on per person admission fee?

any specific kinda of place - history, art, science, fun, food???

there is a bucketful and a half to do here!!!

have fun wherever you go!!

there are lots of trails in arlington, irving, dallas.

since i rarely visit arlington, i dont have any recommendations for you there.
how far are you willing to drive for things?

downtown dallas has
* the Perot Science Musuem ($17 for adults, $11 for kids 2-17)
... http://www.perotmuseum.org/

* the dallas world aquarium ($21+tax Adult, $15+tax kids 2 thru 12)
... http://www.dwazoo.com/

* the Pioneer Plaza w/ larger than lifesize longhorns and three cowboys
... http://www.visitdallas.com/listings/Pioneer-Plaza/6851/

* the Reunion tower ($14 for adults, $6 for kids 4-12) - kinda pricey, imho
... http://www.reuniontower.com/

grapevine mills mall [north of DFW airport] has a Legoland place ($16-21 for everyone over 3yrs)
... http://www.legolanddiscoverycenter.com/dallasfw/

fort worth has several musuems, including a Science & Hisotry museum and a Cowgirls museum. if the weather is nice, there is also the Water Gardens downtown and Sundance square for restaurants and relaxation.

Fuck? LOL sorry. Ripley's Believe it or Not is is Arlington. Southfork Ranch is nice. Downtown Fort Worth has a wonderful Museum of Western Art. There is The Stockyard's north of downtown Fort Worth and Joe T. Garcia's Mexican restaurant is close to The Stockyards and is great Tex-Mex.
Try House of Blues in Downtown Dallas, great music and then the Dragonfly at the Hotel ZaZa, cool place for people watching and good food too.

Wondering the same thing. What to do in the galleria area. I was kinda wanting to listen to a band and have a drink or two and dinner or appetizers. Something smooth. Suggestion would be very cool.

Memphis has live bands most every night and is close to the Galleria.
