Let's have some fun down memory lane

Okay, this is a game. You have to answer the question to ask the next one. It can be a movie (who was the lead?) or (what movie?). It can be a song or the band name with the alternate as the answer. Anything from the tasteful entertainment world. Please don't use Google. I will begin:

Who sang "Crazy"? *big personal giiggle inside for those who like to psycho analyze without a license*
It's your thread, but I think you out to repost this in the MQT thread found at: http://www.eccie.net/showthread.php?t=10943.

Who is London's favorite band of all time?

FTR Lacy I was thinking Crazy was by Aerosmith because that's the one I know lol.
Awww, London... I was referring to Patsy Cline but you are absolutely right. I'm guessing Aerosmith is your fav band... *giggles*

Okay okay, ummm lets see, who did Phil Collins write the song "Hold on" to or who was he saying "Hold on" to in the theme of the song. 2 answers, one will do. This is actually a very sad story that resulted in someone he gave tickets to committing suicide in the parking lot of the concert venue. Naming that person will suffice also. So 3 answers, one will do.

Geez I wish I had a bag of pacifiers or what I refer to as "plug a mugs".

I've never heard that story, Lacey....you have me curious...
Hi Sexy. I miss you hang on a sec

Eccie, I believe it was London that answered Leanne Rhymes.

Okay adorable, I'll go ahead and answer this cause I seen his interview about it some years ago; and it's probably just a tuffy question. When Phil Collins was a young boy, he went to summer camp. There was a young male counselor that expressed his authority irrationally. PC's best friend at camp got blamed for something by this counselor (maybe he did it, maybe not) but the counselors idea of punishment was to make the boy swim "in the edge of night" and the boy drowned because he wouldn't let him return to shore. When PC became famous, he invited the counselor and his family (wife and kids) to the debut of that song. The counselor obviously did not know that PC watched his friend drown that night and the counselor probably didn't put 2 and 2 together that PC was at that camp that night. Remember the lyrics "I can feel it coming in the air tonight" and PC was crying inside as a boy "hold on hold on". PC sang the words directly to the counselor "Well I was there and I saw what you did, I saw it with my own 2 eyes so you can wipe off that grin, I know where been... it's all been a pack of lies" and the counselor got up and walked out as PC continued telling the story in his song. PC said he heard the gun shot in the parking lot and continued to sing as he was filled with anger, sadness and relief. Sad, Huh? I have enormous respect for PC for the way he handled it. Okay, dry the eyes and go on.

I pass my redo... next question please! *sniffles*

Ok, despite being a hottie, you got this one wrong.

This is an urban legend. The song is actually "In the Air Tonight", which he wrote while going through a very ugly divorce.

Makes for a good story though, even though he refuted it during a BBC interview some years back.

Who played Otis on Andy Griffith?
I saw his interview Baby. Listen to the words "and if you told me you were drowning, I would not lend a hand. I've seen your face before my friend, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF YOU KNOW WHO I AM". See, in the interview they asked if it was about his divorce. he said no and told this story. Songfacts is wrong. They tell the story but dismiss it as false. I seen PC say it live so I am inclined to believe him. Love you!
Well I googled in the UK, found a bunch of people arguing and this

I've seen a lot of interviews with Phil Collins on this song, and his story seems to be always changing... perhaps this song is based on a real life experience?

back to me Lacey... I found an interview with his son that stated it was based on a childhood tragedy.
And then there is this:
Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight Lyrics

more Phil Collins lyrics : · True Colors lyrics ... Actually, you're all wrong on the meaning. and YES THE SONG IS ABOUT RAPE, Ok, so here goes. ... both saw a personal interview with Phil Collins himself and this is the story he told. ...

I guess he told several different versions but I think I believe what I heard him say since his son basically supported it. He did write it during a divorce but it was a dark time and more dark came out. It doesn't have to mean it was about his divorce. Big Smooch

Hal Smith, hey I was all ready on Google... heehee.

Okay, who sang "Happy Days"... lol, from the sitcom
